Lake Forest, Calif., November 13, 2018 – The formation of a new sales and distribution company in the United States for the Chinese auto brand Zotye Automobile was announced today by Duke Hale, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HAAH Automotive Holdings and Wangsheng Zhu, Chairman of Zotye Automobile International Co. The new company will be known as Zotye USA and headquartered in Lake Forest, California.

Zotye Automobile International Co. designs, engineers, manufactures and sells the Zotye brand vehicles in China and globally.

The company’s first U.S. product with be an SUV but the specific model has not been announced. Engineering development and homologation work on the model is underway and is proceeding smoothly. Sales to retail customers in the U.S. are expected to begin in 2020, according to Zotye USA.

“I am beyond thrilled to make this announcement, the result of more than four years of discussions and negotiations with the Zotye in China. With the agreement, we have begun setting up a franchised dealer network to handle sales and service in America. We’ve had discussions with several major dealers already and will have more to say about that in the months to come,” said Hale.

“HAAH has rich experience in automobile sales and a series of unique and feasible innovative sales concepts, which will successfully propel Zotye Automobile in the American market. This cooperation extends the solid foundation for Zotye Automobile in the international market,” said Zhu.

The Zotye USA sales team is led by industry veteran Senior Vice President of Sales Bob Pradzinski. Other members of the senior executive team will be announced in the future.

Susan Bland Norton has been named as Vice President of Marketing.

She began at the family auto dealership Bland Cadillac and later worked in sales and marketing at Mazda Motor America. Her finance experience includes leading dealer and manufacturer marketing for J. Norton also has a degree in automotive marketing from Northwood University.

LAKE FOREST, Calif. – May 2, 2019 – Zotye USA’s first vehicle for the U.S. market will be a compact CUV, the T600, Duke Hale, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zotye USA and HAAH Automotive Holdings announced today.

Zotye is anticipated to be the first Chinese automaker to sell vehicles in the United States under its own brand name. The T600 debuted at the Shanghai Motor Show on April 16 this year and is anticipated to go on sale in China next year. The U.S. model is expected to use an inline four-cylinder engine with turbocharging, an engine displacement of 1.6-liters and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Zotye USA is currently planning to bring in at least two additional vehicles, a mid-size CUV and a sedan. Timing for when those vehicles will go on sale has not yet been announced.

“This T600 is a perfect vehicle for the U.S. market and I’m very excited to announce it will be the first Zotye product to go on sale here. The vehicle has excellent quality, outstanding safety features and will be very well equipped with a unique design that will make it popular with American buyers ” said Hale.

Zotye USA’s formation was announced on November 13, 2018 as the exclusive sales and distribution company of Zotye Automobiles for the U.S. market.

“Homologation and certification work on the T600 have been ongoing for some time and are proceeding on schedule. We’re reviewing the optimal timing for putting the vehicle on sale and anticipate sales will begin at the end of 2020 or early in the first quarter of 2021,” said Senior Vice President, Sales, Bob Pradzinski.

Development of the Zotye USA franchised new car dealer network is also proceeding as planned. The company had announced in January that it had signed agreements for 19 new vehicle sales locations. Today, the number of locations stands at 60 and the company anticipates it will have close to 300 locations in the top 100 markets by the time the T600 goes on sale. Total size of the Zotye USA sales network is expected to be about 325 locations.

LAKE FOREST, Calif. June 12, 2019 – HAAH Automotive Holdings and Zotye USA, the distributor of Zotye Automobiles of China, have opened their new, joint headquarters in the Orange County, California city of Irvine. HAAH is co-locating the headquarters of its wholly owned subsidiary, Zotye USA, in the same building.

Zotye USA will begin selling its first model, the Zotye T600 CUV at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. The company is currently preparing for the sales launch as it builds out its franchised new vehicle dealer network and puts in place its cloud-based information technology structure, vehicle and parts shipping distribution systems, marketing, research and customer relations systems and other operations.

The office consists of 13,500-square feet of space and is located on the top floor of the building at 29 Parker, Irvine, California.

“HAAH’s original office was located nearby and it was always our plan to keep the headquarters of HAAH and Zotye USA in Southern California. Irvine provides us with a very desirable location for employees, a highly educated labor pool to draw from as we grow, excellent transportation options throughout the U.S. and China and great neighborhoods for our employees to live in. Hosford has worked for three automakers and two top ten public relations agencies in his more than 30 years in the automotive field. Most recently he was the principal at Hosford Communications Consulting where he served clients including an automaker, a fuels company and the Washington D.C. Auto Show.

“HAAH and Zotye USA are a disruptive force in the North American auto industry. Christensen has worked for Subaru, Mazda, Caterpillar and Hyundai Mobis in various aspects of supply chain management throughout his career. He has successfully opened more than 12 parts distribution facilities during his 40-year career and has been deeply involved in industry leading best practice processes and automation focused on cycle time reduction.

He brings with him more than 40 years of automotive knowledge and expertise in the areas of supply chain management, logistics and facility operations. IRVINE, Calif. August 29, 2019 – HAAH Automotive Holdings Chairman and CEO Duke Hale announced today that customer experience leader Nicole Geenen has been named Vice President of Service Operations for HAAH Automotive Holdings and Zotye USA.

Geenen worked at Mitsubishi Motors North America as National Director of Service with full responsibility for product support, technical services and training, compliance, warranty, customer service, and aftersales field operations. Prior to that she held a number of positions at Mazda North American Operations in service and parts, customer experience, and brand and employee engagement.

IRVINE, Calif. Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019 – Zotye USA announced it has reached a milestone in its new U.S. vehicle dealer appointments, as it has now filled 100 dealer markets, ahead of its original plan reported Duke Hale, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zotye USA and its parent company HAAH Automotive Holdings.

Zotye USA is the American distributor for vehicles from Chinese automaker Zotye Automobile.
Zotye USA now has agreements for dealer markets in all top 10 states, with the markets in the areas of Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Las Vegas, and Tampa among others now closed. The company plans to have 250 new vehicle markets in place by the time Zotye vehicles go on sale in the United States in 2021. Eventually the company expects its new vehicle dealer network will total about 325 locations.

Earlier the company announced that it will begin sales in the U.S. with a new SUV and follow that with a second SUV and a passenger car in the years that follow.
